In order to acquaint the students of form 8 with the Economic side of The French Revolution, an hour-long event was organized by the economics students of form 11 and 12 on 23rd August 2022. It involved inter-disciplinary peer tutoring through several fun activities. The event commenced with a short skit exploring the economy from different perspectives, with memorable characters and easily comprehensible explanations. It was followed by a competitive quiz covering not just the performance, but also what they had already learnt in their classrooms. The students were then split into groups to play several games like Eco Pong, Life in the French Revolution, Auction of Life, PARIS STOP!, and Social Ladder, each highlighting an aspect of the economy during the French Revolution.
The event focused on learning of several topics like Direct Taxes, Indirect Taxes, Black Marketing, Demonetization, Inflation, Income Inequality, Corruption, and Nepotism: all using The French Revolution as its central reference.
